Golf Vacation Packages Big Island Hawaii

The Big Island named as the Island of Hawaii, at 4,338 square miles of tropical paradise is the largest island in the Hawaiian chain,. From the sweeping view at the near 14,000 foot summits of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa, to the spectacular coastal beaches of the Kona Coast, the Big Island offers something for every visitor. When you arrive on this sunny island paradise you will begin to feel the Aloha Spirit as soon as you step off your airplane at Keahole-Kona International Airport. The resort areas that stretch along the western side of the island are world renowned for their spectacular hotel architecture. These resort communities feature some of the finest golf courses in the world offering golfers of all levels an unforgettable experience.

The Big Island is the largest Hawaiian island. Built over five volcanoes, it is an island of contrasts. From the deserts of Ka'u to the rainforests of Hamakua, from the snow capped peak of Mauna Kea to the warm golden beaches of Kona, the island is still growing thanks to the world's most active volcano, Kilauea.

Visit Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and hike Kilauea, explore lava tubes, steam vents and sulphur banks, and marvel at the ancient petroglyphs. Kilauea, the world's most active volcano, has been spewing lava almost continuously since 1983. View the liquid fire of creation, flowing molten lava as it makes it's way over 20 miles downhill to the sea.

Mauna Kea, at over 13,000 feet above sea level, is the tallest volcano in Hawaii and, when measured from it's base on the ocean floor, is the world's tallest mountain. Visit the world class observatories on the peak of Mauna Kea but be prepared for thin air and possible snow. Flurries can happen even in summer. Mauna Loa, slightly shorter than Mauna Kea, spreads over half the island and is the world's largest volcano. The mountain's massive weight has created a depression in the ocean floor more than 5 miles deep!

Explore historic Hilo on the lush western coast. Waterfalls, orchids, lava caves, and tide pools abound on this tropical side of the Big Island. Drive to Ka Lae (South Point) to stand on the southernmost point of the United States. Watch the boats launch by being hoisted down over 400 foot cliffs to the sea. Hike a few miles over Ka Lae bluffs to the Green Sand Beach (yes, the sand really is green!).

Relax in the warmth of the Kona coast with it's beautiful beaches, world class golf courses, and spectacular resorts. Visit the black sand beach at the northern end of the road in Pololu, walk the Waikoloa Petroglyph fields, dive or snorkel for manta ray and sea turtles, indulge in fine dining. All the Big Island has to offer is waiting for you when you stay at our popular location on the island of Hawaii:
